I’m not a morning person, don’t want to open my eyes, can’t get out of bed. Those who know me know that I’m an extraordinary bad talker before I’ve had my first cup of black gold.
I can’t take any credit for the nice Saturday breakfast we had this weekend. My guy can cook, he’s a keeper and I tell him that (after I’ve had my coffee 😚)
But the weekend is over and as I’m writing this it’s started to rain heavily, drops are crashing on the roof of the boat, it’s colder than usual, it’s Monday. I’m not a fan of Mondays but you have to go trough Mondays just like you have to go through mornings; with the belief that there is something good ahead.
My new year’s resolution for 2015 was to start every day with a freshly brewed cup o´joe – strong with a dash of milk, no sugar – the perfect substance in an imperfect world. I’ve kept my promise until today; the coffee jar was empty so I walked to Tesco, half asleep, in my striped nighties (nobody noticed, it’s London, a guy was in his kimono and slippers, at least I was wearing a dress.)
I think Jerry Seinfeld described my morning mood quite spot on in this quote: «We want to do a lot of stuff, we’re not in great shape, we didn’t get a good nights sleep, we’re a little depressed. Coffee solves these problems in one delightful little cup.»
Here I am with the coffee I had to go that extra mile for, looking at Trellick Tower (a piece of James Bond history,) enjoying my Lavazza before the rain set in.
I’m ready to talk now!
Today’s outfit: Nightie from St.Tropez, bedhead is model’s own.
